Chennai Express is directed by Rohit Shetty which is his second movie with Shah Ruck Khan. The movie stars Deepika Padukone in lead role with Shah Rukh Khan. The music of the movie Chennai Express is composed by Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani. Chennai Express is the second movie between Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone after their 2007 superhit movie Om Shanti Om.

He wants to fulfill the last wish of his grandfather that to have his ashes immersed in Rameshwaram. He meets a South Indian girl (role played by Deepika Padukone in Chennai Express) on his way.  The movie is about a series of adventures where Rahul finds himself in new surroundings.
